World famous comedy festival featuring some of the world's best comedians. Not just stand up comedy performances the festival also features quirky comedic performances by talented artists.

5. Formula F1 Weekend

 

The craziest party weekend of the year. F1 attracts tourists from all over the world! All weekend special parties take place all over the city. The best Dj's in the world come to play at some of the most exclusive clubs in Montreal. Private parties and upscale events take place all over the city from Thursday to Sunday. Major downtown streets are closed to make way for outdoor terraces, car shows and concerts. All downtown hotels are fully booked this particular weekend so make sure to reserve accommodations months in advance.

6. Osheaga

 

"Since 2006, Virgin Mobile presents Osheaga Music and Arts festival in collaboration with Molson Canadian has established itself as the most important festival of its genre in Canada. With its numerous outdoor stages located at parc Jean-Drapeau on Montreal’s Saint Helen’s Island, Osheaga attracted 135 000 music lovers from North America and Europe last year. A huge celebration dedicated to music and visual arts, Osheaga has given itself the objective of discovering local and national emerging talent offering them the opportunity to play alongside some of the biggest international artists in the business including: Coldplay, The Killers, Iggy & The Stooges, Sonic Youth, The Roots, Rufus Wainwright, Arcade Fire, Eminem, Beck, Mumford and Sons, The Black Keys, Krendrick Lamar, Snoop Dogg, The Cure and Jack White as well as up and coming artists such as The Stills, Coeur de pirate, Hey Rosetta!, The Barr Brothers et Half Moon Run.  Over the course of several days, approximately 100 bands will take to the various stages at parc Jean-Drapeau and across the city in the festive ambiance that only a Montreal summer can provide. 8. Heavy Montreal
